You’ve got questions, I’ve got answers.

What is required to book my date and how do I pay? A non-refundable retainer of 30% of your package total, and a signed contract. I take a check or card.

How will I receive my photos? Photos are delivered within 4-8 weeks of your wedding date, and will arrive in the form of a digital gallery. From this gallery you can order prints, download, and share the photos with friends and family. The gallery will remain active for 90 days. Though I never delete files, you are responsible for downloading and storing your photos.

what do I wear to the engagement session? whatever you’re comfortable in! I want you to be totally yourself during the shoot and be super comfy. So go out and buy an outfit you feel like a bombshell in. But do me a favor, don’t be matchy matchy with each other.

should I hire a second shooter? Second shooters are most valuable for weddings over 100 people. More intimate weddings require less man power (or woman-power in my case).

should I hire a videographer? I leave that up to my couples. Certain videographers are a dream, and others can be too much of a production at times. I’ve got vendor recommendations up the wazoo, so I’d be happy to help you find someone that suits your needs.

can I add on additional hours of shooting? Yes of course! Additional hours of shooting can be added for $450 per hour. However, ya girl doesn’t work over 10 hours. I’ve shot enough weddings to know that the hours listed above are totally enough time to cover everything you’ve got going on. If you have a special send-off you want me to catch, let’s chat about your timeline. I’m sure we can figure it out.

does the dinner hour count in the hours? Yes, yes it does. The hours are consecutive. Even while you and your guests are eating, most of the time, I’m still working. I sit down to eat for ten minutes, and then the cake cutting happens. I sit back down to finish my potatoes, and a family photo needs to be captured. It comes with the territory, so it’s totally cool. But this is why the dinner hour is included in your timeline.

do I need to provide a shot list? No, but thank you! If you’ve hired me to shoot your wedding, that means you trust me to do my job and capture the whole kit and caboodle. However, for family portraits, a list of names for each photo grouping you’d like is definitely helpful! That way I’m not searching for cousins 3, 4, &, 5 like I actually know who they are.

can my cousin shoot photos alongside you? Family members can shoot to their hearts’ content, as long as they aren’t up in my grill. Having someone over my shoulder can limit my creative flow, so I prefer people keep their distance, especially during bride and groom portraits.

are you available for travel? Yes of course! Travel fees apply for locations outside of the Metro Detroit area in the form of reimbursement for flight, rental car (if applicable), and a two-night stay.

can I choose the second shooter? I’ve got a slew of amazing photographers that second for me. They need to be professionals, have a similar shooting style to my own for consistency’s sake, and know how to hold their own. For these reasons, among others, I choose the photographers I shoot with.
